The love and passion for poker for Maria Konnikova began when she was undergoing many tragic and unfortunate events in her life. Maria is a writer and author and has written many popular books. But due to unforeseen events, she lost her tracks. She overcame all her tragedies and became a poker star. She said at one of the Poker Stars events that when you have a good health and things are going smoothly in life, that’s when one realizes how lucky they are. During her tough times, she began to read about chance and luck without knowing where it would lead to.

Thereafter, she started to stumble on poker and took a closer look. She said there is some personal information that only you have and public details that everyone else has and people try to make strategies out of it. This was something that caught her attention, although she had a nil idea about the game, she decided to give it a shot. Unlike other poker players, she is not somebody who was born in a gaming house. Most of the poker players get into the game as they have played several games before, especially when they were younger, but Maria did not have an iota of a clue on what poker was all about.

Vincent Moscati Wins Golden Gates Casino Event

The player from New York won the prize amount of $54,540.

The inaugural event Card Player Poker Tour Golden Gates Casino (CPPTGGC) drew a big field of 456 runners, and created the total prize pool of amount $237,120. The game last for three days and on the final and the third day of the event, the title, the first place prize amount $54,540 and the trophy went to the native of New York Vincent Moscati. Main Event WSOP 2017

The World Series of Poker Europe 2017 is currently going on and the recent venue is at Casino Rozvadov which is in the Czech Republic. There were about 529 entries initially for this event which now has about six players remaining. The tournament has seen five days of action so far and the final six who are left would be contending for the bracelet that would be awarded to the winner of WSOP Europe along with a top prize of more than a million dollars. Maria Ho was heading the group when the event moved to the final day. If she is able to procure the bracelet at the end it would be her fourth win to reach the final table, but she still needs to go the whole way to secure the gold bracelet which would be her first.

 

When she entered the final day of the main event she was leading with a total of 7,830,000 of the number of chips she holds. She will be able to play for 78 blinds in total with the chips she holds. Marti Roca Da Torres from Spain sits in the second place. Contenders for the first position are Niall Farrell, who also holds a considerable number of chips on the final day. Farrell has had a good run so far and even had huge wins at the high roller event. Farrell has also had a Triple Crown win that includes winning at events like the European Poker Tour, World Poker Tour and WSOP. On the fifth day of the event there had been 12 players at the event. Among others who performed well on this day was Kevin MacPhee. The latter had won the main event in WSOP Europe in the year 2015. It remains to be seen how these contenders can work out for the final position.

Ylon Schwartz, a player of intelligence

Ylon Schwartz is born on 1970 in New York. He is an American professional poker player. He is also a chess player. In the WSOP Hold’Em event of 2008 he finished in 4th place. He cashed 24 times in the ‘World Series of Poker’. He won one bracelet in the WSOP main event. In the WSOP, he finished in the final table 3 times. As he is a chess player, he played many chess matches and earned a 2304 ranking in USCF as well as 2259 in FIDE. He also won the title in FIDE in chess. He took many jobs after leaving his education. From 2000, he started playing poker. Many chess skills are not useful for playing poker, but he uses his memory skill of the chess to play and win the poker. He also noticed that chess strategy is useful in deciding when he has a good hand. He noticed that there is the relationship between poker and chess.

His mother had cancer, so he spent lots of his time with his mother for taking care of her and taking her to the hospital for treatment until his mother’s death in 2003. His total of winning the cash prizes is $4,600,000 till now. In 2012, he won his first bracelet in the WSOP Main HORSE event and earned a cash prize of $279,081. Raymond Rahme turns pro

Raymond Rahme is born on 1945 in South Africa. He is a professional player of poker. He is the first African poker player who finished in the final table of the WSOP Main event of 2007, as well as he earned a cash prize of $3,048,025 in that event and finished in third place.

In 2007, he got a seat to play in the WSOP Main event. He won all African poker tournaments and also won other larger poker tournaments which gave him a seat in the WSOP Main event.
