Among the different poker tournaments that have been going on recently, the Borgata Fall Poker Open was concluded recently.
Here Travis Hartshorn was the winner. With the Borgata Fall Poker Open championship just concluded, the decided winner was Travis Hartshorn, who claimed a total of prize money of about $300,000.
The championship concluded just before the beginning of the Thanksgiving weekend. As a result, Travis found himself sitting with a pile of money from this event, a perfect beginning for the holiday weekend. Hartshorn was able to secure victory over 489 entries that were there for the event. The championship ended on Wednesday last week. The final struggle for him was with David Johnston which was like a heads up confrontation that was on for about six hours. Hartshorn was already leading in the chips at the final table.
That gave him a leading position against his opponents. He briefly lost out to David Johnston though he was able to bounce back.
Of course, this event was not the only event that was held the week before Thanksgiving. Let us not forget the MCOP events that were coming to a close that week. There was a lot of attention drawn by the worldwide participation in this tour by poker players though Netherlands participation in the event was a leading one. There are several other events that are coming up even as the year comes to a close. These are events like Unibet PokerFest in Romania which is the first of its kind being held in Bucharest. Being one of the largest Open Main Events being hosted by Unibet, it would be seeing large scale participation, about 800 or more. PokerStars have also announced the schedule of festivals and tournaments that are scheduled for the first half of next year. As a result, most people are looking at these events and more right now.
