Kevin MacPhee speaks about surprise Global Poker League draft selection

When Bryn Kenney was named during the very first Global Poker League draft on 25th February, the selection

came as a huge surprise for 2 time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Kevin MacPhee. Recently, while

speaking or a leading poker news site, Kevin told that he does not really had a chat with Kenney regarding

that prior to the draft, and he knew that he was not going to waste his 1st pick on him. He would not have

done that as well.
Nevertheless, Bryn Kenney choose MacPhee in the 3rd round of the draft, and Kevin is now a New York Rounders’

member. At that time, he joined Kenney’s earlier selections of Tom Marchese and Jason Mercier.
MacPhee added that he believes that Jason Mercier was the first pick obviously, and Kenney managed to form a

great team with 4 very good poker players. As far as he is concerned, he is quite high ranked on the Global

Poker Index, and he figured that if Kenney would not pick him, he would probably get selected by one of the other teams such as the Las Vegas Moneymakers.
The Moneymakers franchise is managed (easy to guess) by Chris Moneymaker. Before the draft happened, Kevin

admitted that he would have preferred to be a part of the venture. He added that the world of poker requires

something to I think poker is hurdling right now, and we need something to revitalize the interest in the

game.
